At NiCE, we are looking for an experienced Engineering Manager to lead our key Czech teams developing a global SaaS product for Digital Customer Experience, used by some of the world's largest companies. This is a global role, collaborating with teams across multiple continents.

Our product grows by hundreds of percent each year in both usage and traffic. We work with cutting-edge technologies, operate a mature product with robust infrastructure, run dozens of data centers (all on AWS), continuously improve and automate processes, and tackle many exciting technological challenges.

• Lead development teams in design, planning, delivery, and release of our SaaS product.

• Manage SCRUM processes and optimize team efficiency.

• Report to the R&D Director for Digital CXone.

• Ensure delivery of high-quality software iterations in an agile environment.

• Orchestrate the release cycle, including forecasting and deploying new software versions into production.

• Oversee software maintenance, bug fixes, and prioritization of technical tasks.

• Standardize development practices, tools, methodologies, and documentation to align with overall architecture.

• Collaborate with Product Managers to understand requirements and limitations.

• Continuously improve development quality, efficiency, and accuracy.

• Represent R&D in cross-company discussions with stakeholders and coordinate with other R&D teams according to the roadmap.

• Provide leadership and coaching for individual team members, including goal setting, feedback, performance management, and professional growth.

• Manage projects according to the roadmap, assign tasks, and deliver reports.

• 3–5+ years of experience in a similar managerial or Scrum Master role.

• Positive attitude and strong energy to lead teams and drive progress.

• Creative problem-solving skills, ability to meet deadlines, and manage full delivery cycles without compromising quality.

• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain technical topics to non-technical audiences.

• Strong command of English (written and spoken).

• Willingness to work in a bilingual team: Czech office culture with humor, and English in the global environment.

• Ideally, experience with SaaS products or software serving high-scale operations.

• Hands-on software development experience is a plus.

Od této role čekáme: 

• Leadership vývojových týmů – při návrhu, plánování, doručení a releasování našeho SaaS
• SCRUM management, tuning fungování vývojových týmů
• Reporting R&D Directorovi pro Digital CXone
• Zodpovědnost za doručování softwarových iterací v agilním prostředí a jejich kvalitu.
• Orchestrace vývojového cyklu releasu, forecasting, release nových verzí software fo produkce.
• Údržba software, management opravy bugů, zajištění průběžného odbavování a prioritizaci technických priorit týmů
• Dlouhodobá standardizace vývojových praktik, nástrojů, metodik, dokumentačních postupů, aby byl zajištěn soulad s celkovou architekturou.
• Spolupráce s produktovými manažery, chápání produktového zadání a jeho limitací
• Kontinuální hledání možností pro zvyšování kvality vývoje, efektivity, zajišťování přesnosti a pečlivosti výstupů.
• Reprezentace R&D v diskuzích s ostatními stakeholdery napříč společností, spolupráce s ostatními R&D týmy dle aktuální roadmapy
• Leadership pro rozvoj jednotlivců v týmu, coaching, práce se zpětnou vazbou, nastavování cílů na zlepšení a osobnostní růst, peformance management.
• Řízení projektů dle aktuální roadmapy či zadání, přidělování úkolů, reporting.

Potřebujeme, aby kandidát měl: 

• Zkušenost s podobnou manažerskou nebo scrum master pozicií min 3 - 5 let.
• Pozitivní přístup a energii vést týmy, posouvat věci neustále dopředu
• Kreativita řešení různých výzev, pracovat s deadliny, řídit kompletní delivery releasů bez kompromisů v kvalitě
• Dobré komunikační schopnosti, schopnost vysvětlování technických problémů i netechnickým lidem, velmi dobrá úroveň angličtiny
• Chuť fungovat v bilingual týmu v kanceláři s typicky českou kulturou a humorem a s anglickým prostředí v rámci globálního týmu
• Ideálně zkušenost se SaaS produktem nebo softwarem, který obsluhoval velkou škálu provozu
• Ideálně vlastní zkušenost s vývojem software
