THE ROLE

As an Engineering Manager for the FlashBlade Foundation team, you will lead a critical software engineering group in Prague responsible for the backbone of our unified fast file and object store. Your team owns the core orchestration, upgradeability, and security software that enables every other feature team to ship safely and at scale. This is a high-impact role where you will solve deep distributed systems challenges, collaborating across the organization to ensure the reliability and seamless experience our customers depend on.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead, mentor, and grow a team of talented systems engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and ownership.
• Oversee the development of foundational data security features, including at-rest encryption and external key management, ensuring the integrity and protection of customer data.
• Own the strategy and delivery for the FlashBlade self-service upgrade experience, enabling seamless, non-disruptive upgrades that customers can manage from our cloud-based platform.
• Direct the development and continuous development of core device orchestration and health management systems, managing and organizing the geometry, stability, security, and reliability of the FlashBlade cluster.
• Partner with product management and peer engineering teams to define and execute a roadmap that serves as the critical foundation for all new product features.

WHAT YOU BRING

• Proven ability to lead, mentor and grow a high-performing software engineering team through the complete project lifecycle.
• A strong technical foundation in systems engineering, including areas like distributed systems, operating systems, storage, or complex software orchestration.
• Experience driving technical strategy and owning the delivery of a product roadmap in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a passion for ensuring product quality and a relentless focus on the customer experience.
• Ability to lead and influence multiple stakeholders across geographies, functions, and time zones.
• We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with Pure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
