Developer Hub Intern

The Red Hat Developer Hub team is looking for an Intern with an interest in Quality Engineering to join us in Brno. You will focus on designing and implementing automation for Backstage Plugins, with an emphasis on strengthening our build and release automation. This long-term internship will give you the opportunity to gain in-depth knowledge about Red Hat's business and the open source culture.

Red Hat's Intern Program is a collaborative effort between the Emerging Talent team and our intern managers. The program is designed to offer a meaningful and well-rounded experience — combining professional development, networking opportunities, social engagement, and impactful work. This is a paid internship based in our Brno office, typically lasting 12 months, with the possibility to extend up to 24 months. Interns work on average 20 hours per week, with flexible working hours, and the expected start date is February 1st.

What you will do:

• Learn and understand the technologies involved

• Design, develop, and maintain automation for Backstage Plugins and related components

• Reproduce, analyze, and verify reported issues

• Contribute to upstream projects by helping ensure high Quality standards through testing and reviews

• Participate on a scrum team

What you will bring:

• You must be enrolled in a Czech university (Bachelor's 3rd/4th year or Master's) for the full internship duration and be able to work full-time within 2 years.

• Working knowledge of written and spoken English

• Experience with Typescript

• Experience with Git

• Familiarity with testing frameworks or continuous integration (CI) infrastructure

• A passion for Quality and open source technologies
