THE ROLE
We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead our Self Service Upgrade (SSU) team in Prague—a group driving one of Pure Storage's top company-wide priorities. This team owns the full customer-facing workflow for upgrading operating systems on on-premise devices, making a direct impact on customer experience and company success. You'll collaborate across business units, guide a talented mix of backend and frontend engineers, and shape the way Pure delivers at scale. This is a high-visibility role where your leadership will enable long-term initiatives across the company.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Lead and grow a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, ownership, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
• Drive delivery of the full-stack SSU workflow—from planning with product and design, to execution on physical customer devices, to quality reporting and success measurement.
• Partner closely with Product Management, UX, QA, and other engineering teams across Pure to align dependencies and deliver on company-wide strategic goals.
• Ensure production stability and customer satisfaction through proactive issue management, continuous delivery practices, and timely response to feedback loops.
• Shape the future of the SSU team by evolving processes, priorities, and capabilities to meet expanding scope and business impact.
  
  

WHAT YOU BRING

• Proven experience leading software engineering teams, with a solid foundation in software development and delivery of cloud-based, customer-facing products.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects end-to-end through the SDLC, balancing priorities, scope, and capacity while meeting commitments.
• Commitment to customer success with the ability to navigate production issues, ensuring reliability and continuous improvement.
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with the flexibility to adapt quickly to changing requirements and environments.
• We are primarily an in-office environment and therefore, you will be expected to work from the Prague office in compliance with Pure's policies, unless you are on PTO, or work travel, or other approved leave.
