Software Engineer – AI Prototyping and Demos

We're seeking a talented Software Engineer with AI expertise to join our team in the Czech Republic and help shape the next generation of AI-driven analytics at GoodData.

What You'll Do

  • Collaborate with our AI team to design, prototype, and build demos and proof-of-concept applications that bring GoodData's AI vision to life — showcasing AI-powered BI, agentic analytics, and intelligent unstructured data processing.

  • Rapidly create and iterate prototypes that highlight new, AI-driven user experiences and analytical capabilities.

  • Use your creativity and knowledge of AI tools to experiment, prototype, and deliver inspiring demos that engage both internal teams and external audiences.

  • Apply AI-assisted development techniques ("vibecoding") to accelerate implementation, explore new interaction patterns, and validate ideas efficiently.

  • Work closely with Product Managers and Product Marketing Managers to ensure prototypes clearly communicate GoodData's evolving AI story.

  • Stay aligned with the AI team's roadmap and research, translating concepts into working examples that demonstrate real business value.

  • Continuously explore and assess emerging AI technologies, APIs, and vendor offerings, integrating them strategically to maximize innovation and efficiency.

  • Maintain high technical standards in a fast-paced prototyping environment through disciplined coding, testing, and code reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Python development, including building applications, prototypes, or AI integrations.

  • Strong hands-on experience with AI frameworks and tools (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex).

  • Proficiency in AI-assisted development workflows (e.g., prompt-based coding, copilot tools, "vibecoding").

  • Working knowledge of JavaScript/TypeScript and React for creating interactive frontends.

  • Solid understanding of software development workflows, Git, and agile methodologies.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to thrive in a dynamic, exploratory environment.

  • A genuine passion for AI innovation, curiosity about emerging technologies, and a drive to continuously learn and push boundaries.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience integrating AI features into analytics or BI products.

  • Understanding of prompt engineering, RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), and agentic architectures.

  • Backend experience with Kotlin, , or similar technologies.

  • Familiarity with API design, data pipelines, and cloud environments.

  • Experience developing interactive demos or visualizations that simplify complex AI concepts.
