We are looking for a Software Engineer with experience in AI to join our team in the Czech Republic:

What You Will Do

  • Collaborate with our AI team to design, prototype, and build demos and proof-of-concept applications that bring GoodData's AI vision to life — showcasing AI on top of BI, agentic analytics, and unstructured data digestion.

  • Contribute to the rapid creation and iteration of prototypes that illustrate new AI-driven user experiences and analytical capabilities.

  • Use your creativity and strong grasp of AI tooling to efficiently experiment, prototype, and deliver engaging demos that inspire internal teams and external audiences alike.

  • Leverage AI-assisted development ("vibecoding") to accelerate implementation, explore new interaction patterns, and validate ideas quickly.

  • Stay closely connected with Product Managers (PMs) and Product Marketing Managers (PMMs) to align on direction and ensure that prototypes effectively communicate the evolving AI narrative of GoodData.

  • Keep in sync with the AI team's roadmap and research, helping to translate vision into tangible, working examples that demonstrate business value.

  • Explore and evaluate new AI technologies, APIs, and vendor offerings, identifying opportunities to integrate or adopt them efficiently instead of reinventing in-house solutions.

  • Maintain technical quality even in fast-moving prototype work through disciplined coding, testing, and review practices.

Required Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Python with 3+ years of experience developing applications, prototypes, or AI integrations.

  • Demonstrated efficiency in using AI frameworks and tools (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Hugging Face, LangChain, LlamaIndex) for rapid prototyping and creative experimentation.

  • Ability to apply AI-assisted development workflows (prompt-based coding, copilot tools, or "vibecoding") to turn concepts into functioning demos quickly.

  • Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript and React for developing interactive and visually appealing frontends.

  • Strong understanding of software development workflows, Git, and agile practices.

  • Excellent collaboration skills and the ability to thrive in an exploratory, fast-moving environment.

  • Genuine enthusiasm for AI innovation, curiosity about emerging tools, and motivation to constantly learn and push boundaries.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience integrating AI capabilities into analytics or BI products.

  • Understanding of prompt engineering, RAG (retrieval-augmented generation), and agentic architectures.

  • Backend experience with Kotlin, , or similar.

  • Familiarity with API design, data pipelines, and cloud environments.

Experience building interactive demos or visualizations that make complex AI concepts accessible.
