Here in Prague, we have teams specializing in front-end development (including mobile, TV, and web), back-end development (Java), DevOps & Platform Engineering, Video Software Engineering, and data science.

What role will you play?

Join our new Prague based team and tackle global-scale authentication and digital identity challenges. Every time a customer logs in, your work will be at the forefront. Your role will involve actively contributing to our Java projects, participating in code reviews, and collaborating with other developers across the organization. Your daily tasks

• Develop and implement new features in Java

• Write and run automated tests to ensure code quality and reliability. Perform manual testing when necessary to ensure features work as intended.

• Review code written by peers to ensure adherence to coding standards and best practices.

• Work closely with other developers, architects and analysts to understand requirements and deliver solutions.

• Identify and resolve issues in the codebase. Use debugging tools and techniques to diagnose problems.

• Document new features and changes in the code. Update technical documentation as needed.

• Participate in daily standup-meetings to discuss progress, blockers, and plans.

• Participate in sprint planning, retrospectives, and other Agile ceremonies.

What skills do you need to play your role well?

• Strong Java knowledge and experience with other technologies such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, Kubernetes, Grafana, Prometheus, Kibana, Elastic Search, NoSQL databases, Groovy, Scala.

• Hands on experience in designing, developing and successful deployment of RESTful APIs from end-to-end.

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field would be preferred.

• Hands on experience in following the iterative and agile software development lifecycle.

• Ability to work well not only in your team but also in a cross-team environment.

• Being self-driven and eager to learn and stay updated with the latest technologies, frameworks, and best practices.

• Creative thinking skills and analytical skills, with attention to detail.

• Fluent English.
