Responsibilities:

  • Configure, maintain, and support Field Programming Unit (FPU) laptops, ensuring they are ready for field deployment.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues using remote support tools such as VPN, RDP, and remote desktop applications.
  • Provide technical support for Windows 10/11 operating systems and core applications including Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, etc.).
  • Support Rockwell Automation software, Allen-Bradley devices, and other specialized technical applications used in field operations.
  • Document and maintain support procedures, knowledge base articles, and troubleshooting guides.
  • Deliver remote hardware and software support, resolving issues efficiently for off-site users.
  • Diagnose and resolve VPN connectivity problems, ensuring secure and reliable remote access.

  • Conduct testing and validation of updated software applications, build images, and deployment packages.

  • Address and remediate patching issues to maintain compliance with organizational security standards.

Required qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience in a customer support environment, utilizing ticketing systems and providing direct support via phone, instant messaging, and email.
  • Proficient in Windows 10/11, Android, and iOS platforms; relevant certifications preferred (or equivalent experience of 3+ years).
  • Solid understanding of serial and Ethernet communication protocols, including the ability to configure software settings such as parity, stop bits, and IP configurations (dynamic/static).
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving IP communication issues for remote users.
  • Strong knowledge of VPN technologies and tunneling protocols.
  • At least 3 years' experience diagnosing and resolving software issues, including advanced troubleshooting down to the Windows registry level.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.
  • Multilingual skills are a plus, particularly in Spanish, German, or French.
