WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We are seeking an experienced BI Specialist to join our team in Prague (Czech Republic).

As a BI Specialist, you will play an important role in our BI Competency Centre, combining your technical and analytical expertise with a keen eye for design and attention to detail to support and elevate data-driven decision-making within the company.

You will collaborate with business stakeholders to create and maintain insightful reports and dashboards using a modern BI stack – Tableau, Keboola, and Dawiso. You will be responsible for delivering analytical use-cases, ensuring data quality, and visually clear dashboards.

You will collaborate closely with other BI Specialists on conceptual topics related to BI governance, including self-service analytics, training facilitation, business requirement gathering, innovations, and best practices in data visualization.

SOME OF THE INTERESTING CHALLENGES AHEAD OF YOU

Key activities and responsibilities:

Tableau:

• Design, develop, and maintain data models, reports and dashboards.
• Create wireframes in Figma to conceptualize new design ideas.
• Build and enhance Tableau reports based on business requirements.
• Continuously improve existing visualizations by incorporating innovative ideas and best practices.
• Assist in creating reusable data visualization templates and other BI assets.

Business Glossary / Data Lineage:

• Manage and maintain the Business Glossary (Dawiso), ensuring accurate and clean documentation in collaboration with Data Stewards.
• Ensure consistency in naming conventions for measures and attributes across all tools and platforms.

Data Accuracy:

• Partner with the back-end team to design data-marts and sources, validate data accuracy, and resolve data discrepancies.
  Collaborate with IT to address inconsistencies or errors in source systems, ensuring data integrity across internal systems.

Other:

• Engage with stakeholders to gather and analyze business requirements, identifying BI and reporting needs.
• Assist with facilitating training sessions on Tableau and data concepts to empower users and promote self-service analytics.
• Track project timelines and delivery milestones using JIRA for seamless collaboration with back-end team and business stakeholders.
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of report data sources and processes on Confluence.

WHAT YOU NEED TO SHINE IN THIS ROLE

Basic Experience with BI Tools

• Existing experience with Tableau or other BI tools (such as Power BI, Qlik, etc.), with a strong interest and eagerness to further develop skills specifically in Tableau.

UX/UI and Design Skills

• A strong sense of UX/UI principles, graphic design fundamentals, and an ability to create visually compelling and user-friendly dashboards and wireframes.

Data Literacy and Governance Knowledge

• Basic understanding or knowledge of SQL, ETL processes, data warehousing principles, and data governance practices, with a readiness to enhance expertise in these areas.

Communication Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, with the ability to document processes clearly and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Educational Background

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in fields such as Economics, Business, Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, or similar disciplines.
