Job Description
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- In conjunction with programs and standards set by the HEAD EUROPE, is responsible for the overall leadership in the sub-region on behalf of all SGS Businesses.
- To develop and lead the strategic and Operational plans to achieve the SGS mission and objectives in the Sub Region.
- To provide and communicate a clear vision for the Business lines and driving profitability and growth in the cluster of countries.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- Master in Business Management or equivalent
- 10-15 years direct operational/management experience including 5 years in a multi-business entity
- Collaborate with business/geography to develop a medium-term growth strategy and annual business plans
- Ensure consistent service delivery quality according to customer feedback
- Implement group standard processes in the country related to IT, HR, Legal, Compliance, Finance, H&S, etc.
- Operate to the highest standards of ethics, in accordance with the SGS Statement of Integrity
- Identify, assess, develop, coach and promote high potential employees.
- Minimize costs without compromising sales and service delivery
- Responsible for driving revenue and maintaining agreed upon profit targets and regularly review business performance against budget targets and implement actions to ensure achievement of targets including the development of key metrics by which to constantly measure business success
- Expand SGS Market share in the sub-region
- Ensure competitive pricing in line with business guidelines
- Be close to the market and competition to identify and explore opportunities for growth (new services & acquisitions)
- Support international sales activity led directly by the Businesses
- Take Management and Strategy decisions to improve performance
- Lead the Management team in all aspects of their business Management and personnel development
- Ensure clear business plans are in place (covering all aspects of the business – commercial and operations) for each business line.
- Communicate with the HEAD EUROPE, EVP's, Functions and peers to share resources and ideas
- Create and sustain a culture of achieving excellence
- Act as the SGS ambassador to promote SGS brand to the customer
