We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team and contribute to the development and maintenance of Scanning Electron Microscope systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, integrating, testing, and debugging mechanical constructions, as well as conducting system-level configuration of mechanical architectures and fixing existing mechanical designs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Designing sub-modules needed for system implementation
  • Configuring mechanical architectures at a system level
  • Designing, integrating, testing, and debugging mechanical constructions
  • Fixing and resolving existing mechanical designs
  • Providing input during the specification and design phase of new products
  • Defining and completing test plans for mechanical/mechatronic components
  • Communicating with project leaders and other stakeholders to provide progress updates and suggest alternative solutions
  • Taking responsibility for safety around design and prototype setups
  • Setting up training and coordinating/training Manufacturing, Sustaining Products, and Service personnel in new product build, test, install, and repair procedures
  • Supporting factory and field service engineers with first builds, installs, and upgrades of newly introduced systems and modules

The ideal candidate will have a degree in a technical field, experience with designing and drawing in 3D CADs, and knowledge of methods, techniques, and processes with an emphasis on practical, applied knowledge.
