Language Quality Specialist - Italian

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Language Quality Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Ads Localization program, you will be responsible for auditing, reviewing, and assessing the quality of marketing translations in Italian. You will work closely with Program and Product Managers to define opportunities for optimizing quality auditing processes and ensure the highest quality marketing content in Italian.

Key Responsibilities
  • **Audit and Review**: Ensure the quality of marketing content in Italian meets our high standards.
  • **Vendor Management**: Monitor external vendor quality, investigate quality variations, and provide feedback and linguistic coaching to external vendors.
  • **Quality Improvement**: Identify and pursue quality improvement initiatives with internal teams to enhance our Ads Localization program.
  • **Language Quality Management**: Manage language quality and maintenance of associated assets, including glossaries, style guides, and translation memories.
  • **Vendor Arbitration**: Participate in vendor arbitration discussions and act as a linguistic consultant for vendor queries.
  • **Localization Standards**: Maintain Amazon Advertising brand and product localization standards.
Requirements
  • **Native-level Italian**: C2 level of proficiency in Italian.
  • **English Fluency**: C1+ level of proficiency in English.
  • **Education**: Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Linguistics, Communications, or related field.
  • **Experience**: Experience in Marketing, Translation, Copywriting, and/or Proofreading, with a focus on data-driven decision making.
  • **Computer Literacy**: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications
  • **Localization Experience**: +3 years' experience in localization, online advertising, translations, copywriting, proofreading, and/or marketing.
  • **E-commerce Knowledge**: Familiarity with online retail (e-commerce).
  • **Writing and Content Marketing**: Demonstrable experience as a writer or content marketer.
  • **CAT Tools**: Knowledge of Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools.
  • **Attention to Detail**: Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
