We are in search of a dedicated and experienced Technical Education Specialist to become a part of our Make Academy team. Our goal at Make Academy is to equip individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive using Make, by providing engaging and effective learning experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a robust technical foundation, expertise in instructional design, and a commitment to lifelong learning. In this role, you will be responsible for conceptualizing, designing, and producing cutting-edge online training resources that cater to over 60,000 learners globally, working closely with the Make Academy Team and various organizational stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, research, and implement comprehensive training programs that clarify complex automation concepts for a variety of audiences.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to create, write, and develop interactive online training materials.
  • Leverage advanced learning technologies to produce highly engaging and interactive educational experiences.
  • Encourage a learning culture that promotes curiosity, exploration, and ongoing improvement.
  • Modify training approaches and materials to suit different learning preferences and adapt to evolving environments.
  • Prioritize the learner's experience, ensuring that training content is accessible and valuable.
  • Utilize feedback mechanisms with learners to enhance the training experience and assess its effectiveness.
  • Manage administrative duties such as course uploads and content maintenance within our Learning Management System (LMS).

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in instructional design or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in training, particularly in simplifying complex technical subjects for non-technical audiences.
  • Familiarity with storyboard scripting, authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360), collaboration platforms (e.g., Miro), and learning management systems (e.g., Thinkific) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical abilities to deconstruct topics into manageable components and identify key knowledge requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal, with the capacity to understand and meet the needs of diverse audiences.
  • Solid understanding of programming concepts with a strong technical background.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for learning and exploring new technologies and ideas.
  • Creative problem-solver with the ability to develop innovative solutions and visual analogies to enhance the learning process.
  • Highly adaptable, thriving in dynamic, fast-paced, and unpredictable settings.
  • Interest in API ecosystems and a solid understanding of no-code automation tools.
