The role of Lead SME Data Protection involves protecting organizational information and financial assets, managing a global team.
This position is part of the Cyber Security Technology function, which supports various technologies and services across a globally dispersed team. This includes cryptography and encryption technology, Data Loss Prevention, Security Infrastructure and vulnerability management.
- Manage a team to ensure data protection and security.
- Collaborate with IT teams, Compliance teams, and other stakeholders to deliver and operate the strategy.
- Coordinate with teams to obtain required data in the required format and standard.
- Help teams understand compliance and risk expectations.
- Record progress and outcome of reviews in appropriate trackers.
- Inform teams about outcome of review and offer support for further remediation work if required.
- Data security experience with specific focus on Data Security, privacy, and data anonymization.
- Experience of operating a key security service with demanding users, tight deadlines, and a need for precise record keeping.
- Knowledge of data anonymization techniques including masking, tokenization, grouping, k-anonymization, and redaction.
- Experience with anonymization tools such as Privitar, Delphix, and CA TDM.
- A minimum of 2/3 years Cyber experience would be beneficial.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
- Attention to detail, ability to compartmentalize, and good organizational and communication skills are critical to this role.
- Ability to work remotely from central management, act on one's own initiative, and make sound decisions that can be supported to regulators and auditors is essential.
