Professional Summary:

Seasoned HMI Principal Architect with extensive expertise in the design and architecture of Human-Machine Interface (HMI) applications and middleware for automotive infotainment systems and digital instrument clusters. Proven track record of leading the definition and implementation of scalable HMI frameworks, with a strong focus on power mode management, system state transitions, Sleep-to-Resume (STR) mechanisms, and startup/shutdown animations to deliver seamless and intuitive user experiences. Brings a rich background in mobile application development across platforms including BREW and Symbian OS, evolving into Android with deep experience in middleware development, including AIDL and HIDL interface design.

Key Skills:

  • System Architecture & Design: Deep expertise in Power Mode Management, System States, Power Life Cycle Handling, Sleep-To-Resume (STR) transitions, and startup/shutdown sequencing. Proven ability to architect scalable, modular HMI frameworks for automotive infotainment and cluster systems.
  • Operating Systems: Extensive experience with QNX, AOSP and Embedded Linux platforms tailored for real-time automotive applications.
  • HMI Development: End-to-end design and development of HMI applications for digital instrument clusters and infotainment systems.
  • Graphics & Rendering: Development of Qt-based custom renderers and integration of third-party rendering engines to enable rich, performant UI animations.
  • Model-Based Engineering: Proficient in behaviour modeling and state machine development using IBM Rhapsody.

Communication & Middleware Integration: Experience in establishing communication between HMI, Vehicle Interface Platforms (VIP), and other components using protocols such as ODI, INC, and Remote HMI using Protobuf.
