About the Team:
Organizations increasingly rely on many sources of talent beyond their traditional, full-time employees – at SAP this is known as the External Workforce. External workers are a vital part of SAP's business. SAP recognises that a well-managed, dynamic, and flexible external workforce can strengthen our competitive edge.
The External Workforce Center (EWFC) partners with the business to engage a compliant external workforce that delivers on our business needs, working with stakeholders across more than 140 countries and in all areas of the SAP business. The focus in all we do is to make the complex easy, while doing business the right way.
EWFC is driving the transformation journey for External Workforce at SAP – with a focus on the future of work, total workforce management and total spend management.
About the Role:
Engagement at senior levels, consulting with key stakeholders to understand business drivers, strategy, challenges and objectives and provide expert guidance on best practices for engaging and managing external workforce. Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders across various business units and geographies.
You will play a vital role as a trusted partner and act as both strategic and sparring partner to the business, providing consulting, strategic insights, and guidance on all relevant external workforce topics. At all times you will help the business navigate the complex landscape of external workforce so they can continue to deliver on their objectives.
Strategic planning and analysis, working to develop strategic plans to optimize the utilization of the external workforce to deliver on business objectives compliantly. Conduct regular analysis of workforce data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities for improvement. Representing where relevant external workforce centre in SAP's next level transformation initiatives, you will always be looking for appropriate simplification, standardization, process optimization and continuous innovation; to achieve this you to work closely with a wide range of stakeholders outside of the People & Culture organisation.
You will be key in the execution of the External Workforce strategy, with the SAP People Agenda central to the approach in all activities. In this highly regulated space where compliance is paramount you will identify and mitigate risks associated with the use of external workforce, including issues related to co-employment, misclassification, and regulatory compliance. Monitor and address any compliance issues or potential risks promptly.
While working with key stakeholders you will seek to identify current and future business needs and empower the organisation to ensure appropriate external workforce planning is in place to deliver on these. Regularly working with consumer feedback to improve solutions, processes and knowledge documentation you will drive change across the organisation using best practice change management techniques.
Where necessary you will develop relationships with key suppliers, working with procurement to ensure alignment with SAP's strategic objectives and compliance requirements.
Investigating external workforce issues by and providing HR policy interpretation and recommendations to management as appropriate. Serving as escalation point for external workforce centre services as needed.
You will lead cross-functional projects related to external workforce initiatives, navigating a complex landscape of technical, process, and data challenges while adhering to stringent legal and internal standards. Responsible for delivery of outcomes of complex and innovative functional issues, integrating client needs, strategic business goals and compliance.
This role involves the handling of confidential data and using HR systems and tools.
Previous experience of working with the external workforce is preferred but not essential, you just need to have:
- Strong strategic influencing skills and ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders.
Relevant experience in an international environment, ideally in a matrixed organisation.
Curious in your mindset and enjoy problem solving
- Solid consulting and negotiation skills for effective collaboration with high-level stakeholders.
- Able to multi-task, manage workloads and set priorities
Comfortable in a fast-paced environment
