About Us:

Rankist GmbH is a fast-growing company specializing 100% in Shopify e-commerce solutions. We are seeking a Shopify Project Manager with strong technical knowledge and experience in managing Shopify stores. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in Shopify development, project management, and a good understanding of SEO to help lead projects from start to finish.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management:
  • Manage the end-to-end development of Shopify-based e-commerce projects from planning to execution.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (design, development, marketing) and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of projects.
  • Set clear goals, timelines, and expectations, while managing resources and budgets effectively.
  • Shopify Store Development:
  • Implement and customize Shopify themes, apps, and functionalities to meet project requirements.
  • Troubleshoot and solve technical issues related to Shopify stores, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Optimize and customize Shopify stores for speed, user experience, and conversion optimization.
  • Technical Expertise:
  • Hands-on knowledge of HTML, CSS, Liquid, and JavaScript to develop and customize Shopify stores.
  • Ability to integrate third-party apps and services with Shopify, such as payment gateways, shipping solutions, and marketing tools.
  • Manage Shopify apps, install new tools, and ensure proper configurations for smooth workflow automation.
  • SEO Strategy & Implementation:
  • Optimize Shopify stores for SEO, including on-page SEO, meta tags, content optimization, and URL structure.
  • Conduct keyword research and integrate findings into product pages, blogs, and other relevant areas.
  • Implement technical SEO improvements, such as site speed optimizations, mobile responsiveness, and site structure improvements.
  • Collaboration & Strategy:
  • Work with cross-functional teams, including design, marketing, and customer service, to ensure project success and client satisfaction.
  • Create and maintain project documentation, timelines, and reports for internal stakeholders and clients.
  • Develop a strategy for ongoing site improvements post-launch and ensure the client's long-term success on Shopify.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience managing Shopify projects and hands-on expertise with Shopify development (at least 3 years).
  • Strong technical skills in HTML, CSS, Liquid, and JavaScript for customizing Shopify stores.
  • Strong project management experience, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • SEO knowledge and experience optimizing Shopify stores for search engines (on-page SEO, keyword research, technical SEO).
  • Familiarity with Shopify apps and third-party integrations.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with clients and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to handle complex tasks and projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Shopify Plus experience.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics and Google Search Console.
  • Experience in conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Knowledge of Shopify's backend and API integration.
  • Project Management certification (e.g., PMP, Scrum, or Agile) is a plus.
