More than a thousand of employees implement IT strategies through technological applications grouped in several key Sections, thereby ensuring the competitiveness of the entire Group.

For our Section "Energy IT", we are looking for a dedicated Database System Engineer with DevOps experience to contribute to the development and operations of critical infrastructure for 24/7 services in agile working environment.

Your responsibilities:

Creating, tuning, and managing databases running on a variety of engines (MySQL, MariaDB, PSSQL,Oracle)Working within the Engineering team to create and improve automation processes with Ansible for database administrationEnsuring secure, performant, and resilient database systems for 24/7 productive ecosystemsDesigning migration strategies for databases for critical tech migration and datacenter migration projects (LogShipping, Replication, Failover, Clustering, Active/Active etc.)Daily operation of mission critical database infrastructureImplementing security baselines and proactively looking to strengthen security posture on database systemsProposing new methods for operations whilst demonstrating new technological advancements and their benefitsCollaborating with technical teams on delivery chainAutomating infrastructure delivery using industry standard toolsCreation of procedural documentation (Operational handbook)Active participation in agile team ceremoniesParticipation in On-Call rotation

Your profile:

5+ years of experience in designing and administering MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL and Oracle database engines for mission critical environments including HA and DR aspects and troubleshooting3+ years of experience in Linux system administration including LVM, IAM, RBACA history of success collaborating with operations teams, network engineers, and developers5+ years of experience with automating DBA tasks (preferably via Ansible)Experience with agile/lean working frameworksCohesive and clear active communication skills

Nice to have:

History of success in datacenter or technology migration projectsSubstantial experience with Everything as Code approachProfound architectural understanding on database design in mission critical and regulated environmentsFamiliarity with virtual and bare metal, self-hosted Linux ecosystemsFamiliarity with the containerization concept (K8S is a plus)Hands-on experience with monitoring/logging/alerting for databasesFamiliarity with SAN/NAS/DAS/S3 storage systems
