Title and Summary

Job Title: Manager, Area Marketing

The Mastercard office in Prague, Czech Republic is seeking a dynamic and strategic Marketing & Communications Manager to lead marketing and communications projects across the Czech Republic and Slovakia in line with the market business strategy and global priorities. This role is ideal for a creative and results-driven professional passionate about delivering impactful local campaigns and building strong brand presence in both countries.

Key responsibilities:

• Drive and manage local marketing and communications activities in both markets, ensuring alignment with Mastercard's business strategy, communications priorities and brand guidelines

• Design and execute integrated 360° marketing campaigns that reflect strategic priorities and client needs.

• Drive and oversee Mastercard's external communications and public relations strategy in CZ/SK, ensuring consistent and effective messaging across all channels.

• Proactively identify and lead communications initiatives that enhance and protect Mastercard's reputation.

• Propose and implement strategies, programs and mechanics for Mastercard customers focusing on cardholder activation, card usage, acceptance, and loyalty.

Role:

• Development of marketing and communications plans in the Czech Republic and Slovakia based on country marketing strategy and objectives as well as global priorities.

• Lead brand-building and consumer advertising initiatives.

• Design and implement 360° campaigns and offers aligned with marketing and comms objectives. Oversee creative development and ensure high-quality execution.

• Brief, manage and collaborate with creative and communication agencies throughout projects execution, including post-campaign analysis and reporting.

• Drive and manage collaboration with Mastercard customers on marketing and communications activities, including offer development, negotiations, implementation, and contracting.

• Manage budget by preparing annual and monthly marketing budget forecasts, monitoring spend and invoicing, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Mastercard's financial procedures.

• Bring a creative mindset and a strong passion for brand building.

• Have advanced experience leading marketing campaigns that require close collaboration across diverse teams – both internal and external.

• Enjoy project management involving external partners and cross-functional teams.

• Are skilled in managing multiple campaigns and communications activities simultaneously.

• Have strategic mindset and outstanding communication skills at all levels

• Can confidently present to senior stakeholders and clearly articulate your ideas.

• Are enthusiastic about new technologies and all things digital

• Are fluent in Czech (or Slovak) and English, both written and spoken.

• Have min. 5 years of experience in similar role(s)

• Experience in finance and/or technology industry will be a plus.
