
Business Development Representative

As a Business Development Representative at Rossum, you'll fuel our growth by connecting with inbound and outbound prospects and turning curiosity into pipeline. You'll qualify inbound interest, run targeted outbound campaigns, and use AI-enabled tools to discover smarter ways of reaching potential customers. This role is perfect for someone who thrives on experimentation, adapts quickly, and enjoys testing new ways to open doors.
What You'll Do
Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to develop and execute pipeline strategies.
Run high-volume outreach (calls, email, social) to generate new opportunities.
Qualify inbound and outbound prospects and book discovery calls with Account Executives.
Apply an AI-first approach to prospecting—experimenting with automation, tools, and data-driven insights.
Continuously learn about multiple industries and use cases to build business acumen.
Share insights on lead quality and messaging to strengthen team playbooks.
Who You Are
At least 1 year of BDR/SDR experience (SaaS preferred).
Proven record of meeting or exceeding pipeline targets.
Excellent communication skills in English (spoken and written).
Entrepreneurial mindset with curiosity, perseverance, and positive energy.
Adaptive communicator who can tailor outreach to different prospects' needs.
Quick learner, eager to test and adopt new outreach tactics and tools.
Bonus points if you have:
Experience with AI or automation in sales engagement.
Familiarity with Salesforce, SalesLoft, or other prospecting platforms.
Multilingual skills.
Knowledge of SaaS, automation, or intelligent document processing markets.
Within 3 Months
Complete onboarding and product training.
Build working relationships with Marketing and Sales.
Start generating qualified opportunities and booking meetings.
Become competent in tools (Gong, Sales Navigator, Salesforce).
Within 6 Months
Consistently hit activity and opportunity creation KPIs.
Develop and execute personalized outbound campaigns.
Provide structured feedback on lead quality and messaging.
Within 12 Months
Be a trusted partner to Account Executives, contributing directly to revenue.
Help shape outreach playbooks for future BDR hires.
Deliver measurable pipeline contribution to quarterly sales targets.
