Copernicus Account Management

This position is fully remote and open to candidates based in the Netherlands, Belgium, or the Czech Republic.

On behalf of the European Space Agency, we are looking for A highly skilled Copernicus Account Management to work remotely in ESA.

What is expected from you:

The Support Service shall contribute to the CCM Activity that is targeted at serving the needs of the CCM data Users who are limited groups of users, categorised according to pre-defined Copernicus User Categories. The definition of the Copernicus User Categories may evolve over time and the up-to-date definition is found in the CCM ESA-User licence agreement. Coordinate the CCM Activity: Provide proactive, end-to-end supervision and coordination with the engineering team to ensure successful implementation of all aspects of the CCM Activity to satisfy the CCM data Users.

• Manage the Copernicus Services Interfaces to the Copernicus Users: Identify, document, and trace evolving data needs of Copernicus Services, maintain strong working-level interfaces, and support ESA in managing CCM accounts.
  
  • Support Data Source Selection: Assist ESA in identifying appropriate data sources to meet Copernicus Services needs and advise on adjustments to data subscription schemes.
  • Facilitate Stakeholder Engagement: Organize and participate in regular meetings with Copernicus Services to review needs, satisfaction, and promote continuous improvement.
  • Monitor User Satisfaction: Support ESA in preparing, executing, and analyzing an annual CCM user satisfaction survey, and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
  • Support Data Offer Evolution: Perform gap analyses, assess evolving satellite missions, and contribute to the evolution of the CCM data offer under ESA guidance.
  • Promote the CCM Activity: Participate in and support the organization of workshops and events (e.g., EGU, LPS, CCM annual workshops) to promote the CCM Activity.
  • Facilitate Provider-Service Interfaces: Act as a liaison between CCM data providers and Copernicus Services, especially for pilot or demonstration projects.
  • Deliver Key Documentation: Produce and maintain deliverables such as the Compendium of User Needs, Master Subscription Scheme Table, CSP quota allocation, and meeting documentation.
  • Support Communication & Reporting: Contribute to communication, presentation, and reporting activities related to the CCM Activity, including inputs to ESA and stakeholder materials.

What you offer:

• MSc or PhD in Aerospace Engineering, Earth Observation, Remote Sensing, Computer Science, or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in EO systems operations, data service engineering, or service management.
• Knowledge of Copernicus programme, satellite data services, and SLA-based operations.
• Experience in service integration and operational interfaces
• Fluency in English (written and spoken) required

Candidates must be eligible for a security personal clearance from an EU Member State national security administration.
