About the ClientOur client is a successful Asian payment provider with multiple hubs across the globe, currently expanding its presence in Europe. The project is a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) based in the Czech Republic, entering the market with a full-service on- and off-ramp payment solution. With a long-term vision to become a key player in the crypto banking space, the company is now looking for a local CEO to lead strategy, product development, and execution.Role Overview This is a unique opportunity for a Czech-speaking leader with strong fintech & crypto executive experience to build a licensed financial institution from the ground up. You will be responsible for shaping the business strategy, forming the team, launching the product, and ensuring full compliance with the local regulatory environment. The role requires both strategic leadership and operational execution in a startup-like environment.Key Responsibilities Build and scale the business from scratch, developing it into a leading name in the crypto banking space Lead sales activities and brand positioning Recruit, develop, and lead a high-performing team across various functions Establish and optimize business processes and operations for efficiency and scalability Oversee all operational activities, ensuring smooth execution across departments Manage company budgets and resources, ensuring financial sustainability and growth Ensure full compliance with relevant regulations and legal requirements in all operational jurisdictions Engage with stakeholders, including clients, investors, and regulators, to ensure alignment with the company’s goals and vision.Requirements Based in the Czech Republic, with fluent Czech and English Extensive leadership experience in the payments, fintech, or crypto sectors. Preferably sales background  Proven track record in launching and scaling businesses, ideally in a startup environment Solid understanding of financial products, digital payments, and crypto-related technologies Familiarity with local and EU regulatory frameworks & MICA regulation  Experience interacting with Czech regulators is highly desirable Key Soft Skills Hands-on, execution-focused leadership style Strategic thinker with a startup mindset Strong communication and stakeholder management skills High level of ownership and accountability What We Offer Executive ownership of a regulated VASP business Opportunity to launch and shape a brand  Influence over team, product, and market strategy Competitive compensation and long-term potential in the crypto-fintech space
