Your Role:
As Career and Internship Coordinator at CEA CAPA, you will be in charge of coordinating CEA CAPA's regular and custom terms: establishing and maintaining relationships with local companies and institutions, overseeing the placement of interns, and ensuring a positive and educational experience.
Other responsibilities involve supporting CEA CAPA Center with specific academics tasks and with pre-departure, arrival, and program delivery tasks as needed, as well as working collaboratively with colleagues in the Global Career and Internship Team under the guidance of Career and Internship Leadership.
What You'll Do:
Partner Organizations:
- Establish agreements with organizations for internship and business consulting opportunities, maintain open communication with them, and develop guidelines for future directions in conjunction with the Career and Internship team, both locally and globally.
- Actively network and engage with the Barcelona business community on a regular basis to retain connections and develop new relationships for future internship and business consulting partnerships.
Students:
- Review student application materials and coordinate student placements.
- Provide career development support as part of the placement and delivery process.
- Design and deliver specific orientation sessions, workshops, follow-up meetings, farewell meetings, etc.
- Assist students with day-to-day requests (add/drop period, attendance).
Global Career and Internship Team:
- Work collaboratively with the Global Career and Internship Team to identify, develop, and implement other best practices for our programs that are consistent across all our Career and Internship locations.
Faculty/Academic Staff:
- Support Global Internship Course and Business Consulting faculty in day-to-day academic and administrative matters.
- Coordinate with the Global Internship Course and Business Consulting instructors any guidelines as needed and assist with program delivery tasks.
- Communicate with the abovementioned instructors to identify student challenges at their placements and support students as needed.
- Attend regular faculty and staff meetings.
Curriculum:
- Make sure that course syllabi are up to date and work with Global Internship Course and Business Consulting faculty to update them before the start of every term.
Onsite Visits (Internal and External):
- Provide an accurate overview of our Career and Internship Programs to both internal (i.e., CEA CAPA staff) and external (partner institutions) visitors and coordinate and lead visits to onsite partner organizations.
Marketing:
- Develop marketing strategies to give visibility to CEA CAPA's Career and Internship Programs through different channels (blogs, social media, videos, reports, etc.) in coordination with CIP Leadership.
Other:
- Participate in the general Student Orientation sessions and arrival tasks.
- Attend welcome and farewell receptions with students.
- Proficiency using CRM (Customer Relations Management) databases, Salesforce preferred.
What Makes a Great Candidate:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in a workplace interacting with colleagues and customers/clients required.
- Competence behaving and communicating in a professional environment required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Czech/Slovak required.
- Authorized to work in the Czech Republic required.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- International experience preferred.
