IT PUBLIC SECTOR PROGRAM MANAGER

We are looking for an experienced senior program manager to lead key IT initiatives in the field of government digitization. Your task will be to manage a set of high-impact projects, ensure their strategic alignment with the organization's goals, and manage a complex stakeholder environment. We expect you to be able to navigate a dynamic environment, have excellent coordination skills, and be a strong crisis manager.

You will work on projects that affect the daily lives of citizens – from internal information systems to public services.

Your responsibilities:

•    Strategic management and coordination of multiple parallel IT projects (program management)

• Leading project teams across departments and suppliers

•    Risk, escalation, and crisis management (including projects behind schedule or at risk)

•    Communication with key stakeholders – from IT suppliers to top government officials

• Setting up management processes, reporting, and methodologies in accordance with public administration standards (PRINCE2, PMBOK, ITIL, etc.)

• Monitoring compliance with legislative, security, and budgetary requirements

• Active support in the preparation of tenders and public procurement (in cooperation with the legal department)

We require:

•    Excellent communication and negotiation skills, ability to communicate at the level of organizational management and with technical teams

•    Proven experience of at least 10 years in IT project management, including at least 5 years at the program management level

• Experience with crisis management of projects – taking over endangered projects, restarting, change management

•    Knowledge of project methodologies (PRINCE2, PMI, MSP, Agile)

•    Native Czech language skills, English at a level sufficient to understand technical documentation

•    Knowledge of public administration and IT security legislation is an advantage (e.g., the Cyber Security Act, the Public Procurement Act)
