Financial Operations Specialist

Cash Collection Specialists play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of funds into our organization. We are seeking an experienced professional to join our team and take on this challenging position.
Responsibilities:
- We are looking for a highly motivated individual to proactively chase payments through phone calls, ensuring timely collections and minimizing payment delays.
- The ideal candidate will have excellent account management skills, with the ability to document and change account statuses, handle referrals, and transfer funds as necessary.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this role, as the successful candidate will be required to work closely with various stakeholders, including customers, colleagues, and internal teams.
- Payment processing is a critical aspect of this role, requiring attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise.
- Write-off requests must be initiated following established approval policies, and the candidate should be able to provide clear explanations for their decisions.
- Queries identification and escalation are also key responsibilities, requiring the ability to analyze complex issues, provide solutions, and escalate matters to relevant authorities if needed.
- Cash account clearance involves transferring funds as necessary, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring compliance with established procedures.
- Requesting credit notes and coordinating with billing resources is another important task, requiring effective communication and organizational skills.
- Refund overpayments and manage credit balances by working closely with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely resolutions.
- System and data quality are paramount, and the candidate must maintain high standards of system operation and data integrity.
- Reporting and forecasting are critical components of this role, requiring the ability to produce accurate reports, provide collection-related insights, and drive business growth.
- Account troubleshooting and process improvement are also essential, involving the analysis of complex issues, provision of solutions, and implementation of improvements to optimize business processes.
- Compliance with SOX-defined processes is mandatory, and the candidate must demonstrate a strong understanding of regulatory requirements and industry standards.
Requirements:
- A degree in finance, accounting, business, or a related field is essential for this role, providing a solid foundation in financial principles and practices.
- Technical skills, including experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access) and proficiency with enterprise technologies such as SAP, are critical for success in this position.
- Experience with integrated CBC Software Solutions is highly desirable, as well as prior experience in credit/collections and customer service roles, particularly with large corporate customers and high-volume, multi-platform environments.
- A C1 level of English language proficiency is mandatory, with additional European languages being a plus.
