Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Regulatory Reporting Remediation Specialist to join our team in Europe. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of regulatory requirements for EBA prudential returns, reporting production processes, risk assessment, and remediation techniques to identify and address data and process control gaps.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the IRR Programme Director for Europe to deliver programme outcomes by improving the quality, accuracy, and traceability of regulatory returns while ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Analyse and review processes for preparing regulatory returns, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Investigate reporting errors, identify root causes, and lead remediation efforts to prevent recurrence.
  • Map and analyse reporting processes to identify inefficiencies and control gaps and recommend improvements.
  • Design and implement control uplifts to reduce risk in the Regulatory reporting process, working closely with BAU teams.
  • Collaborate with Data teams to enable them to document data lineage for Regulatory reporting processes.
  • Track and document remediation plans, including corrective action follow-ups.
  • Partner with business teams, data owners, and technology teams to align on reporting requirements and remediation plans.
  • Manage Risks, Issues & Dependencies and escalate as required.
  • Provide programme and project support where required across a range of tasks according to the programme needs.
Required Skills and Qualifications

Key Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • Knowledge of key regulatory frameworks and requirements (e.g., Basel, EBA, PRA, etc.).
  • Experience with data lineage, traceability, and process remediation.
  • Ability to identify, assess, and remediate reporting errors and process inefficiencies.
  • Risk assessment skills with the ability to propose control enhancements.
  • Understanding of the role of Regulators and of the purpose and context of Regulatory Reporting.
  • Finance and Regulatory audit background desirable.
  • Capability to solve complex problems, initiative to spot improvements and highly collaborative.
