What you need to have to succeed in this role
- Demonstrable Cloud service provider experience (ideally GCP) - infrastructure build and configurations of a variety of services including Compute, Storage, SDN (VPC and XPN)
- Demonstrable experience of Linux administration and scripting preferably Red Hat
- Experience of working with Continuous Integration (CI), Continuous Delivery (CD) and continuous testing tools
- Experience working within an Agile environment
- Programming experience in one or more of the following languages: Python, Ruby, Java, JavaScript, Go, Groovy, Scala
- Server administration (either Linux or Windows)
- Automation scripting (using scripting languages such as Terraform, Ansible etc.)
- Ability to quickly acquire new skills and learn new tools

We have a unique opportunity for you to join our team in Cloud Services as a GCP DevOps Engineer. Your role is to help manage critical technical services that underpin thousands of applications. We manage over 3,000 projects internally and your expertise will help us to deliver against an ambitious technical roadmap.
,[Build and manage the HSBC GCP foundation platform to enable application deployments , Engineer solutions on GCP using Infrastructure As Code methods (e.g. Terraform) , Integrate, configure, deploy and manage centrally provided common cloud services (e.g. IAM, networking, logging, Operating systems, Containers.) , Support non-functional testing , Update support and operational documentation as required , Ensure compliance with centrally defined Security, Ensure compliance with Operational risk standards (E.g.
