More About Your Team

You will build and lead a small development team of 2-3 Engineers. You will cooperate with Scrum Master, Product Manager, UX and BI specialists, and other team stakeholders daily. The team works hybrid - 3 days in the office. 

Your team is responsible for User Advisory & Communication area. The first mission - User Advisory - is about creating the best possible Inspirational, Advisory pages, and Q&A section in order to advise customers during the purchase process on Heureka. The second mission - Communication - is about building strong Communication channels (Mail and Push notifications) for our B2C users.

What you will do?

Your time as a team lead will be divided into three areas:

  • Leadership & People management

  • Engineering

  • Product

Initially, you'll focus heavily on development while leading the team. As the team grows, your role will increasingly involve leadership and team development. Engineering (coding, tech. discovery, setting right engineering processes) will take the most of your time. Thus we are looking for a Leader with a strong passion for Engineering.

Leadership activities include, for example:

  • Leading an empowered team of 2-3 Engineers. You will be helping them grow and develop themselves. Our Career Journey framework will guide your way in this area.

  • You will be part of the so-called Team Lead Circle.

  • Closely cooperating with Tech Heads, Team Leads, Tech Leads and Product Managers of other teams.

  • Together with the Product Manager, Scrum-Master and other Stakeholders, you will be coming up with the Team Goals and taking responsibility for the delivery.

  • You will be responsible for the hiring process of your team.

  • You are the team budget owner.

We are looking for a full-stack developer or someone with significant expertise in either backend or frontend development.

  • You have experience in leading software engineering teams - officially or unofficially.

  • Still actively participating in software development, Scrum or Kanban are not dirty words for you.

  • You act as an egoless leader.

  • You understand the basics of Situational Leadership and know how to use it.

  • You are not afraid to speak in English even though you are not a native speaker.
